This morning I am culling so many beautiful images I had the privilege to capture this past weekend. I have known Meredith for over 20 years and when I found out she met the love of her life and was set to get married, I couldn’t have been more happy for her. Although I haven’t lived near her for many many years, my family has always managed to stay in contact with her and would easily be able to pick up where we last left and catch up on all the happenings in our lives. Meredith has been living in Boston for the past few years and was destined to meet her love in this city. I was so excited to meet Mike (her now husband!) and instantly adored his sweet Boston accent, strong family ties, and love of the city he was raised in. On a personal note, I couldn’t have been more terrified to be traveling to their Boston wedding on the week of the tragic bombings… but we instantly felt such love and warmth from the residents of this community. No bride would ever expect such a tragedy to happen the week of their wedding, and although the two couldn’t have their rehearsal and had to switch dinner venues… everything went SO smoothly on their special day. I was so honored to be able to capture their rehearsal dinner and be by Meredith’s side as she got ready for her day. This was my first time being a photographer AND guest for a wedding weekend- and I just loved it.
